Saxestory spent three days at Beyond 2026 at the Metropolitan Exhibition Centre in Athens, meeting technology companies at every stage of growth and the people building Greece's digital infrastructure.

A packed agenda and a full exhibition floor made Beyond one of the most useful events of our year. Most of the conversations were with the kind of company Saxestory works with every day: a strong product, a long sales cycle, and a market that has not yet heard its story clearly.

The highlight: Greek data centers

The standout session was the Greek Data Center Association fireside chat with Alexandros Bechrakis, President of GRDCA. The association brings the country's data center operators and suppliers under one voice, with a clear goal: to position Greece as a serious data center hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.

65member companies joined the Greek Data Center Association in its first year.

Data centers are a market our team knows from the inside. Our founder, Petros Tritsinis, spent five years at Lamda Hellix, now part of Digital Realty, working with Alexandros. Seeing the sector organize itself, and grow this fast, was the clearest signal of the event.

What we took away

Growth needs a market storyGreek tech companies are building strong products. Turning them into pipeline takes positioning that buyers understand on first read.
People make the eventThe most valuable hours were conversations with former colleagues, clients, and new contacts, outside the agenda.
